HomeSchoolLife's Curriculum Junkie Reviews TTT&T's Title Suite: Beware Madame la Guillotine

Two days ago, I woke in a cold sweat with a to-do list as long as my braccio.* We're going full-speed ahead on building the app right now and while I'm thrilled with the results, it's a lot of work. So I wasn't really relishing the idea of taking time from my busy app-building schedule to compose our weekly blog and newsletter.

Then I opened my email. And inside I found a wonderful, truly unexpected surprise...

What Do All Tech-based Projects, from Apple to Zillow, Have in Common?

Launch Delays. That's what!

And at Time Traveler Tours & Tales (TTT&T), we are no exception. On my trip to the States earlier this month, I gathered members of team TTT&T as well as a dedicated group of major supporters to alpha-test the first iteration of IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF GIANTS.

It was exciting. It was fun. It was also very tasty for apropos the Renaissance Italian theme of our launch story app tour, we met at an NYC restaurant: Osteria del Principe. Highly recommended!

Our hope was to be able to turn the app right over to YOU for beta testing. But we encountered two unanticipated technical issues too serious not to fix.

Building a Team to Build Momentum in a Creative Business

Building a Team to Build Momentum in a Creative Business

The “lone ranger” small business model works perfectly for some creators – those people who can successfully wear all the hats in their creative business and have no need for additional team members. But big visions require more hats – and more people to properly execute.

Sarah’s goal is to harness cutting-edge technology for the benefit of educational tourism, bringing history to life for young people through story-driven interactive mobile tours, then...

The Most Important Gift I Forgot

The Most Important Gift I Forgot

I stepped off British Airways flight #0113 into JFK airport last week and was immediately swept up. The energy of New York and the excitement of the holiday season greeted me right along with the rushing people and traffic.

After the past several months working alone from my quiet London home at a convalescent’s pace and in relative isolation, I felt the vitality of both city and season pick me up like a giant hand and propel me into the arms of Team TTT&T and our much-anticipated four-day marathon huddle.

I’m so grateful to be back in the city I still consider “home,” and to be working alongside such talented and generous people again.

Together, we reflected on the successes of the last year, and we brainstormed how to build on them in the three, six, and twelve months ahead.

How Can I Best Serve You?

How Can I Best Serve You?

Still unburdened by the weight of heavy backpacks, there’s an obvious lightness to their step, a visible sense of excitement.

Though I have no wardrobe upgrade as of yet, nor even a fresh hairdo, I fully share their enthusiasm. For me, September is the real New Year. A legacy of a lifetime in academia, as a student, career educator, and parent? Perhaps. But I'm not alone.

For many of us, September isn't just about getting back to school, work, life. It's more than that: September is the time, after a long, restful break, to get back to the business of serving others.
